There have been various stories in the news media of people being in heavy financial debt killing their families and then committing suicide. Or after being laid off or unemployed they start killing others and finish themselves.

Why can’t such people just file bankruptcy to get protection from creditors instead of going violent with guns?

   Or if they are in such despair that they feel they have no alternative to taking their own lives, why drag the kids into it?
