I am not a conspiracy nut or n e thing but i think this sounds funny off of the yahoo page on the financial crisis;

I was wondering if anyone knew of a news website that was like this: it keeps pages devoted to major news events (say the financial troubles in Greece or the Deepwater Oil Spill), and focused mainly on giving the basic facts about the story.
For example, for the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, it might have the companies involved, the date of the original explosion, how much oil has been emitted, likely environmental damage, comparisons to other oil spills, etc.
I read newspapers, but sometimes I loose track of some of the basic details of stories as you get minor updates over time, it would be nice to have a website that collected up all the facts around major news events, with a minimium of commentary.

Hello,
I am a software engineer and am in the initial design phase of a stock-bot (i.e. automated trading system using machine learning and lots of other math/science/statistical techniques).
One of the things I would like to be able to do is gather financial news articles relating to the market on a daily bases, and process those. I have found a few (hopefully) good sources of finance news like Yahoo Finance and CNN Money, but I’d just like to know what news sites the experienced traders out there like to get their news from?
Also, if any of you are familiar with building stock bots, any useful input would be appreciated. On the flip side if your answer to this post is that it is impossible or stupid thing to build, please include an intelligent justification for that kind of response (simply just saying it is a bad idea is neither useful nor informative).

If you actually closely follow financial news you would realize his proposed regulations on the bankers are a joke and allow them to continue their cartel with a guarantee of government backing if a failure happens again.

What financial field should I got into?

I’m a college student majoring in finance. I have a high interest in investing- I spend a 1-2 hrs every day following the markets/business news. I also like corporate fin- analyzing balance sheets/ratios, raising capital, cash flows, etc.
What’s the ideal career for me?!
