Why does FOX NEWS put their brightest people on their business channel which most people don’t get?
Filed Under Financial News | 5 Comments
That FOX Business channel features John Stossel, who was the only voice in the mainstream network news media to put forth a different point of view, and Dave Ramsey who’s financial plan got tens of thousands of families out of debt; yet they put them on the sister station which is not on most people’s basic cable package. Yet, they put comic DJ Glenn Beck on their news mothership, along with college dropout Sean Hannity.

Now it’s the case for BP, which we’re told is dragging down its sector - oil business… but I can’t understand why the troubles of a company that had a very specific accident have a repercussion on its sector. And yet we hear about it in financial news all the time. Why is that?

Is Cisco Systems a great investment this month (Feb & Mar 2010)?
Filed Under Financial News | 1 Comment
I’ve been following world financial news very closely for the past several months and was wondering if Cisco Systems (CSCO) is one of the solid stocks to buy right now, considering their recent outbreak. It seems like they’ll be at the forefront of the approaching economic surge coming out of the recession. Thoughts?

Financial Aid appeal letter.help plz?
Filed Under Financial News | 1 Comment
Please tell me what do you think of this should i add more details whatever ??
Dear Office of Student Financial Aid,
I’m very devastated by the news of my financial aid suspension. I do not blame anyone but myself for this very sad consequence. I have let a lot of people down, especially myself due to my reckless attitude for which I do regret deeply and sincerely.
Last a year and half is been very difficult for me and my family. I lost my grandfather and 2 of my uncles. I had to attend my grandfather funeral in Spring 07. This is why I couldn’t take my finals and failed all my classes. Also my father is a construction worker who did not a have job for the last few months due to collapse in the housing market. We are 7 people in the family and I’m the oldest child, and now I have to share some of the responsibilities to see my family getting through these inconveniences and I and my younger brother have been working on jobs to pay for our expense like rent and utility bills. These are the reasons that I was less focused in my school studies and disciplines, for which I offer my sincere regrets.
I do realize that I neglected my studies and I would like another chance to do better in them. I have compiled a list of steps I need to take in order to be successful in school:
1. I will resign from my full-time job in order to give my full attention to school.
2. I will obtain a tutor for my most difficult classes by becoming familiar with the tutoring center on campus.
3. I will talk to each of my instructors personally to find out how I can do well in their classes.
4. I will manage my time wisely so that I can balance my family and studies together.
5. I will attend all of my classes to take advantage of what they have to offer.
My goal is to earn a degree in Political Science so that I can make a difference in the lives of poor people in my country. Our government is corrupt and irresponsible for its own people. People don’t trust the government anymore. This is very important to me because I want restore people faith in the government by working for them and stand by them. But I can only do this if I can apply for financial aid. I am a hard-working student, and I would like the chance to prove to you that my next semester will not be a disappointment. I will try my hardest to be good role model to my family and other students. Therefore, I would humbly request this committee to give me one more chance to continue my studies uninterruptedly so that I can prove myself that I have what it takes to follow my dream.
I’m looking forward to an early and favorable hearing of my case.
A truly repented pupil.

Gwen Ifill, moderator of the VP Debates tomorrow, has written a book - “Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama”.
Sure seems like she stands to make alot more profit if Obama wins… if he loses, she sells like, what, 4 books?
Hmmm.. unbaised moderator?

Do you recall barry titled his budget the “Era of Financial Responsibility”. With this news, is it?

“perfectly clear” that he was LYING?
President Barack Obama is poised to increase the U.S. debt to a level that exceeds the value of the nation’s annual economic output, a step toward what Bill Gross called a “debt super cycle.”
The CHART OF THE DAY tracks U.S. gross domestic product and the government’s total debt, which rose past $13 trillion for the first time this month. The amount owed will surpass GDP in 2012, based on forecasts by the International Monetary Fund. The lower panel shows U.S. annual GDP growth as tracked by the IMF, which projects the world’s largest economy to expand at a slower pace than the 3.2 percent average during the past five decades. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601109&sid=aa0cI64Gx.4E&pos=15

I started working for an engineering corporation and we got the news that we are being audited. I just talked to the financial manager (aka owner’s wife) and she just told me that they get audited every year and that it is normal for corporations. Is this normal? It seems really shady.
It is being audited by the state of Lousiana. But it does make sense that an outside company would audit a corporation for its stakeholders. Thanks.
