I am taking my acca exam. Now at level one. some of my classmates had told me to read newspaper on money, investment and financial section. They said that It is very important for acca students as you will need all these knowledge at level 3 in order to pass the exam. Is it true. I just don’t like to read financial articles or news. Do I really have to force myself to start reading it before it will be too late. And Is there anything else I need to take note of in taking acca. How about english languages. Do I need to be very strong in it for level 3. Please advice. Thanks.
Really hope you can help me. Will choose you the best answer. Please help.

Obama wants to break these parasitic financiers, who are committed to a policy of systematic de-industrialization through alternating financial speculation, war, and fiscal austerity. Their objective is to destroy productive enterprise, genocide on a global scale to reduce the population, and to usher in a new global feudalism. By stating his intention to rebuild the country from the ground up (the same objective as the founders of the republic, and other great Americans like Alexander Hamilton, Abraham Lincoln, both Roosevelts, and JFK), he is effectually declaring war on these genocidal scumbags:

Other than their relentless attacks from right-wing and financial media outlets, what else do you think they have planned?

Why do financial “news” people refer to the DJIA as points instead of dollars? Like if the DJIA goes below 8000, they’ll say it went below 8000 “points” instead of 8000 “dollars.”

i.e. headlines that read, “Investors Brush Aside Bad Economic News And Send Market Up”. Is this positive response due to speculators who have decided to buy stocks while prices are low or something else? Any ideas?
